Just wanted to update this thread with the latest information.
As of this morning, the manufacturer is saying that they are about 2-3 weeks from being able to produce and ship the skid plates without the cut out. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you placed an order with us, your card has not been charged, and we have not captured any PayPal fund transfers. If you would like to cancel your order, we completely understand.
On another note, we did receive the new rivets and will be getting those out to all of you that requested them.
Again, we are very sorry for the delay. Unfortunately, it is beyond our control.

We have decided to go to a different manufacturer for these skid plates. We plan to have the updated information on the website tomorrow. We also plan to be in a position to start filling orders in the next few days rather than the next few weeks. Thank you to all of you that have been patient with us.

So here it is folks, the new belt drive skid plate. We will be filling orders as soon as they arrive from VEI. These will be the same price and will come powder coated in black wrinkle finish.
Tedd i like that one better than the previous one. Ill order one up tonight. Come with installation hardware?

For all, like myself, that ordered the original version of this plate with the "hole": I cut a small piece of scrap aluminum and just welded it in. who cares if it looks perfect? it's on the bottom anyways! looks like it should work great!
If you don't have the ability to weld aluminum, i would think a welding shop should do it for next to nothing?!?

Just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone that has ordered these skid plates from us. It has been a whirlwind month trying to get all of your orders filled and out to you.
For those of you that have not received your order, we have another 20 plates that should be arriving any moment as they were shipped to us last Friday. As SOON as they arrive we will be shipping them out to fill those orders. We apologize for the delay, we have been working feverishly to get these orders filled. We also know that VEI has been working feverishly to get them built as soon as possible.

I got one of the ones from Tedd's with the hole in it. Got the extra longer rivets too. Great piece and great service. I have it installed, but will likely pull it off after this winter and have the hole welded up.
