the best piece of Avalanche safety equip is...

the people you ride with. I was VERY impressed with the 3 guys I rode with today. They are all great riders and NOT ONE of them hit the wide open untouched mtn that was calling out to us like a siren to a sailor. Thanks for being smart CC Boss and AC I feel good about riding with you guys anytime now. :beer;:)

Angel Hatchers - Ken/Jacob/Tim/Matt/Jesus are a few guys i've rode with tons of times, they all know when to stay off the hills and are great friends to have in the backcountry. May we all come home after each and every ride:beer;

Evil Hatchers - sounds like a bunch of chickenchits!;)

No joke, those hills were sooooo dang sexy! They were calling us to ride there beautiful lady lumps!:D

Amen to that, its hard to find riding buddies who are that safety conscious....and can pull a side hill in difficult terrain.:)

It's hard to pass up the big slopes specially when they're right there in front of you. People who want to do it for the long haul practice patience which I've seen a lot of folks doing. Good work.

This week will be tough as we'll probably see weather with good visibility. With fresh snow it makes it even harder. Have patience boys, I'd be surprised if we don't hear of an incident over the next few days. We're still not out of the woods.

Kind of a side note here, but thanks for watching out for all of us Brett. I don't know you, and I havn't met you yet, but one day we'll cross tracks. I'm paying close attention to the UAC's website, even though I can't ride right now, I still have friends that are lucky enough to have sleds that work. And hopefully you are wrong on one of your predictions, the one that we'll be hearing of another accident. I'm sure that you wouldn't mind if you were wrong on that one as well
