Thanks Walker Evans Racing

End of last season I had the adjuster ring bind up and mis-thread. After making a topic on it here I found others have had the exact same issues. Weather it be ice or sand/dirt getting under the threads, it resulted in an un-adjustable spring.

No warranty left from Polaris, I tried contacting WE about it via email.
I was impressed with WE's customer service and quick replies. Was told to send in the shock and for the cost of a shock rebuild and shipping they replaced the failed part.

Other than having to purchase a new shock to finish the season (yeah, I tried to cut the spring adjuster ring off and resolve the issue myself, then realized that a new ring could not be installed w/o disassembly/rebuilding the shock.) I'm happy that WE responded and took care of this.

I do still feel a design change could be implemented to eliminate this from continuing to happen however.

....Anyone need a like-new, stock shock, ~150 miles? Off a 2011 Pro RMK. :P

With the warranty expired on the sled and shocks... It WAS very cool of WE to give you a "good will" repair for a minimal cost to you!!

Glad to hear about good experiences like this.

I've seen the same issue with Fox Zero-Pros, Ohlins, Ryde-FX, Ski Doo, Cat etc.. anything with a spring adjuster and threads in the body.... Clear anodized, not anodized or black hardcoated...

I also put up a new thread on maintaining these suckers before each season.. do this on all your shocks now... front and rear and you'll be happier.
