Thanks to the ole 900...I had to say farewell

I was one of the first and foremost advocators of the 9 against all adversity since new. I was also a Ford 6.0 driver so had dual negatives working against me. Through all this the the Ford bit the dust and with good reason but the 9 always stayed tried and true.

Many times of putting highmarks on the hill against all types of adversaries in 2005 I would hear "gawd cant believe thats a 900" through the years into recent against better and better sleds I still would hear "wow thats a 900??" That sled earned respect and it got such a bad rap I made it my personal mission to gladly let it earn that respect over and over.

With a sad heart I say good by to the 900 and pass the torch onto my fellow 9 drivers. When I see you guys at the hill I wont scoff I will tip my hat to all that keep the legend alive. kudos to you guys...

I stayed with Polaris and picked up a 09 800. Always had a 685 for a backup and loved the smooth handling.

I had a 09 800 run right with my 900 a couple years ago with a fab hood and a boondocker controller. I took my 900 up same line and used the NOS and pulled a better line but not by that much. I figured a 09 800 with the NOS would do real well.

Still got the 685

I have one too, you better keep yours handy.

Dragon are cheap now, maybe theres a reason--

I will admit I have been tempted to the Dragon Dark side :face-icon-small-sho

I feel your pain. I watched my 700 drive away on someone else's trailer last night

But......picking up my new Pro 800 155 from Michelle at Oregon Trail Sports on Fri. :)

NICE...would of loved to pick up a pro but just cant justify the $$$

I have bought alot of new sleds over the years and never really bulked on the price till now. The 05 900 was the last brand new one I picked up and price on it was 7200.00. Sled before that was in the high 6k range for a 800. How the heck can they go to 12k in this much time??? baffles me.

Kinda like fuel.... no matter what the price, we'll pay it..... How about $50k + for a new pickup?? Have your paycheck's gone up that much in the last 5 - 6 years?? Only gonna get worse...

Read all the Polaris Propaganda and ran down and Snowchecked my 900 could NOT wait for it to show up!!
Rode it hard put it away wet more than a few times!! Never a reason to not champion the 900 "club"
Worth thier weight in gold would be nice!! Can't complain on money I got on the ol' 9 when it died though,
Miss it
