Thanks for an early Christmas present for snowmobilers in the western United States! Man I've actually enjoyed watching the news the past couple of days. Hearing expected snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 FEET puts a smile on my face:face-icon-small-hap Even if those amounts are in California, I'll be happy with half of that across Colorado.

Agreed, Excellent start to the season, better already than all last year!

The one time I have gotten out it was way better than last year. That was a week and 4' of snow ago so I can't wait to get out again.

Sweet!

Yep glad to see that all of us out west are gonna get what we deserve this year for Christmas! Finally startin to stack up here in Southwest Colo. Seemed like it was never gonna happen but after riding some excellent powder this weekend im pumped for some serious riding arter this storm finishes up. Gonna be epic I believe. These are a Couple pics from this last weekend. Hope to have better ones after this weekend:D

Logger stuck again

Sure would have thought that turbo would have out run that......Must have been rider error or possibly a bad decision after your riding buddies warned against it????

I had a real concern about LA NINA. Down south we were not getting a fair share of snow. ( our fair share is all it )

We are starting to catch up, just in time for Christmas.
All of you have a Merry Christmas

hate to rain on the parade..........but since it was 40 here in Fraser today, i'm not as excited about this as i was. it is like late march here right now. at least half of the snow we have had here in the last week melted/settled away today. needs to get back to winter temps. the last 4-5 years here have been just this.....storm, decent snow, excitement, warm f'in temps...turns to crap in a day or two. bring back the days when a foot and a half dump meant great playtime for at least a week.

big temp swings driving out of the Ears on Sunday.

Went from kinda cold and snowing to rain as we passed thru the high plain back to snow in silverton.

its still piling up at elevation.

Sounds like all you need is to get out to a different zone...

I'm glad you guys/gals down South are catching-up on your snow totals this season, but in my opinion you don't have much cause to cry about a lack of snow this season considering the last two seasons (El Nino years), you guys in Southern Colorado had EPIC snow seasons while your neighbors (like me) up in Northern Colorado had HORRIBLE snow totals. So bad in fact, many of our trails were closing in JANURARY.

Don't get me wrong, I don't wish a bad snow season on ANYONE, ANYWHERE, I hope EVERYPLACE has great snow this season, but as the saying goes, what comes around, goes around. Merry Christmas!

once again......all promise, no deliver. i must have missed the 2-7 feet forecast for steamboat/winter park. :face-icon-small-sad

Last year we had a very average year. Only seemed like a lot considering a lot of places were well below average. I mean, we only had 500 or so inches.....

btw not crying about it. I've been enjoying the snow in northern CO since mid November. As long as there's snow somewhere in the state, I'm happy.
