Thanks Babbitt's Sports Center, for the great service.......

Just need to blow out some steam regarding a order i placed at Babbitt's Sports Center.... :frusty:

When i was finished placing my order, and went to checkout, their paged haulted and i got a message that the payment did not go through.
Waited some minutes, placed a new order, and this time the payment was approved. Then recived ONE mail with the order number, and thoght everything was ok..

Today i wanted to check the status for my order, logged on to their web page, and then discovered that there was to identical orders. Both of them with approved payments..? Called the issuer for my credit card, and they said that there was to identical payments withdrawed from Babbit`s Sports.

Called Babbit`s Sports Center to try and solve this issue, and luckely they were waiting for some of the parts i had ordered, so the shippment was not sent yet. BUT, to cancel one of the order, they are going to charge me a fee.... For a issue i am not to blame?? :mmph:

I could had agreed, IF i had recived TWO e-mail`s with both order numbers. AND if it was my own fault that i did not contact them immediately to delete one of the orders. But how could i know that the first ordered had gone through??


Anyone else had any problems ordering from Babbit`s Online, or is it "just my luck"?

Keep asking to talk to the next person in charge until you get the results that you want. Also you can dispute the second charge with your CC company. I now use FreeAgent here on the 4m's for all my parts needs.
 
if you are talking about the same babbitt place in my sig line below......

i ordered tons of stuff from this place this summer, maybe 5 times, everything was correct and i got a great deal......sorry to hear you did not get the same treatment
 
i have used babbits before and they are slow to fufill orders but i never had any problems with them. i would not bother babbits withyour double charge if they are going to charge you a 'fee'. just call your cc company and they will remove one of the charges for you without a fee.

i have ordered 10 or so times from them with no problems other than a little slow sometimes but the prices are hard to beat.
 
Used a few times, never got the correct order, and took forever.

Then I found Freeagent.... I even bought my last sled from her.
 
Babbits has the WORST customer service, good luck finding someone intelligent to talk to at that place! I had a buddy that waited 2 weeks for a part that we found out was in stock the whole time at Cat. I canceled the order for him and ordered direct from FreeAgent.....Had the part in 2 days

For all my Arctic Cat and Yammie parts I deal with Michelle AKA Freeagent on Snowest; Their company is Oregon Trail sports. Michelle is quick to get back to you with price quotes on parts, has the best prices, and will drop ship from Cat to your doorstep (For us in the Midwest this saves a lot of time versus our local dealers)

Not too many places out there with customer service like theirs!

Lots. I wont even use them anymore. They send imcomplete orders with no explanation of why a part isn't included. They have never returned an email and phone calls rarely get results. I'm still missing a part from an order from last year. They charged me and I never got it even after 3 phone calls saying it would be sent out. Only an 8 dollar part but it's the point of it. I don't event own the sleds anymore. I spent over a grand with those guys and had problems with almost every order. I finally gave up on them a couple of months ago. To many other places willing to do it correctly.Just my experience with them.
 
Freeagent... many times over... Top notch service and prices that are on par with the lowest internet supplier.
 
I got the same problem with Babbit's, I'm still waiting for a payment from them for some parts they didn't have and they've charged me for parts I haven't got yet.

This pizzes me off, and trying to call them is as interesting as....in the words of Ford Fairlane "It's like jerking off with a cheesgrader, a little fun but mostly painfull OOOOOW"

Send me an PM and we could combine our efforts of getting the parts/money
 
I also had problems with them in the past. Paid shipping 3 different times due to how large the shipment was. You would think they would know how much it costs to ship a hood after how many years they have been in business. Will never use them again!!!
