Texas becoming its own Country?

What if all 50 state succeeded from the union?

And we left all the stupid politicians locked in DC. Like rats in a pit, (the Skyfall analogy), then we could start over with out all the self serving BS that the current politicians can't seem to move away from. A revolution with no shots fired. A clean slate!

There would be so many issues if a state tired to become its own country. Biggest is would it inherit part of the US dept? What in the state would the Government all want back? Military and weapons would likely get taken away. If it were possible for Texas to start with a clean slate,no debt,energy independence,and minimal politics with a good leader it could become very very wealthy. Especially if they can open more refineries to create more jobs and export oil.
