Tether mounting location

I mounted mine oft to the left beside the handlebar bag, can't see it and works great.

About an 1-1/2'' up from high beam switch. Open the bag under hood next to the steering post and there is a brown 2 female post connection. Plug it in there. 1/2 drill bit and a small wrench is needed.

For a tighter fit and avoid the dreaded cutting-out/ on the polaris style
(2874379) as in 800 poodragon post-

I put a small phillips screw right in the rubber male intrusion that is in the female plug ( the one that cord is connectet to)
It really helps make a SOLID connection on the plunger and had ZERO issues with it-
It's a quick fix and works!!!

The water craft type tether is better than the button cap type . SeaDog one is $18 Cdn at marine suppliers ...
I have mine mounted to the side of the switch plastics on the throttle side. I keep the lanyard looped around my wrist and don't bother taking it off unless absolutely necessary - clip goes on and off the switch with no issues.

I didn't move the post. there is room in there to grab the wires and plug it in then tighten tether.

Electrical plug?

What am I missing? I have polaris tether part #2874379 and I can't seem to find right plug for this thing. Just want to make sure I have the right one. I have 2016 axys.
