Tether Install and Location

I need to install a aftermarket tether on my '06 M7 and I have a couple questions.

There is two wires on the tether but there is 3 wires going to the kill switch. I need some help from some M7 experts on how to wire up this tether.

Where should I install the tether? It's one that mounts on the handlebar.

on my M8 you follow the wiring from the key to where there is a plug that matches the 2 plugs on the teather, simply unplug this and plug in the teather. the 2 ends that go into the teather are plugged into each other.
