Tether - ??? for first time user

Just had a tether installed on my sled. Having never rode with one before, where is the best place to clip it to? Also, what other info, advice should I know about riding with a tether? Thanks in advance:beer;

Yes.

I put one on my 900 this summer. Quite nice.

There's a D-ring on my jacket (and pants) it attaches to. I suggest getting a clip you can manipulate with gloves on.

I double clip mine, had a metal ring sewn into the front of bibs with extra reinforcement, probably overkill:)

My FXR jacket has a clip for it and so does my tekvest.

That’s a good idea mule. I might do that because mine is hard to get it un-clipped.

I wonder why on the newer sleds they don't have tethers that lock up the breaks?

I clip mine in a loop and wrap it around my wrist.

X2, works great when you superman the front, land and get run over by your own sled!!!! would not have liked it much if it had kept running while it was using me for traction!!!! and no Fordman doesn't have any pics of that!!!

This is the tether I have, works great. It doubles as a kill switch so I disabled the rocker kill switch on my bars. I replaced my key with this also.

another nice thing about this is the C clip doesn't pack with ice like the rubber cap style.
