Testing revised 800 port timing on 11/30

Casey Mulkins is bringing the ProR800 back to DTR on 11/30 with a precise cylinder shim to bring port timing closer to the Dragon 800, and an accompanying cut on a D8 Sean Ray cylinder head to maintain compression and tight squish. Since this year both the transfers and ex ports are way lower than the D8 (which explains the lower HP) Casey has made aluminum spacers which will take the cylinder port timing a bit beyond last year's stocker, and closer to the port timing he used to make big power on his own D8 last year. We expect to begin testing at 11am EST, live on the dynocams.

i'm pretty unfamiliar with what you are making, i understand part of it, i was wondering if this gain performance (i realize you are testing it tomorrow, but in previous applications) if gains were seen and worked well at elevation? like 8-10 thousand feet.

Good info. Would like to hear how it works out.

Also, would be interesting to see if someone would leave the transfers low and raise all three exhaust ports up.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check out the results tommorrow. I'm on dial up so there is no point in me trying to follow along on the live feed. Are you going to be testing twins and/or singles on this engine in the future?

Just talked to Casey about the runs today, deer hunting keep me from going along. The were able to increase the airflow into the motor which leaned it out and not much of a hp increase. When adding fuel via PC, they did increase hp, but only by 6hp...

The limitations seem to be with the stock pipe, which one is in the works for this set up and should be back to DTR sometime mid-December to confirm Jim and Casey's theory.
