Testing compression question

Alright, sorry :sorry: if this has been asked a million times. I know I read a thread on here somewhere regarding testing/checking compression but I cannot find it.

Correct me if I am wrong.

should I remove both plugs, give approx 6 pulls on each?

Should I have the throttle wide open? or should I do one set of tests with no throttle and another set of tests with throttle?

also should motor be warm?

And one last question ( i can never find a true answer other then both cylinders need to be very close)

What should the compression be..... whats too low

My test subjects are a 2011 assualt
and an 09 800 dragon

thank you

Plugs out, key off, cold or warm doesnt matter much. 5-6 pulls or until gauge stops going up....varies with gauge.
Comp varies with altitude and any porting or head changes...should be even both sides.

Well just did the test

125psi on both cylinders on the assualt and 121psi on both cylinders on the dragon

thanks for the help.
