Test fired your avy pack lately?

I've been riding using the same pack for a couple years now. Before starting for the season I decided to test fire my pack. One bag did not inflate completely and the bags did not equalize pressure. I sent the pack back to RMX, they fixed the problems, function tested bag, and sent it back. What can I say, we punish our equipment in the elements. Check your gear on a regular basis to ensure proper working order. Just buying it and wearing it doesn't quite cut it.

Good point, This will be my third season on my ABS pack, I tested it when I first got it, and forgot to last year. I just test fired it again a few days ago and it worked great, but it is a good reminder for everyone.

ABS stresses that it is very important to test fire your pack at the beginning of every season and change out to a new canister/handle. this used to suck when they were 150 bucks a go round but now that they are only $35 and most dealers stock replacements there is no reason to do it every season. better to be safe than sorry
