Temp Sensor 2012 Pro 800

Has anyone experienced a faulty sensor. Mine got up over 200+ with no light comming on or flashing. Everything seems to be fine with no burps or hiccups.
This is not my way of heat soaking the engine. Any feed back would be great.
Cheers

Stuck sensor

Mine seems to get stuck at a certain temp at odd times and also seems to shoot to high temps quickly and back down... Im pretty obsessive and I watch it constantly just to make sure. And yes Im in powder the entire time all this is going on...

Hi Chicago, Yesterday my 2013 Pro 800 was running up to 195 degrees and my buddy with identical sled with another guy on board with snowkite gear, so double my load, was at 160. No warnings went off, had scratchers down and in loosely packed trail, slight uphill. Ran off to the side at times to catch more snow onto track. Coolant ok. Sled has 120 miles and no temp problems previously. It did run cooler when we got to the deep stuff. Any suggestions from anyone? Sensor issue or real temp? What temp does limited power kick in?
