Tell me about an 05' M6...900 swap?

Found a good deal locally on on an 05' M6. I am thinking of buying it but am not sure it will have enough power for me. How are these sleds? I am looking at getting into powder and mountain riding more, but also still like trails some, so I think with the 141" track I will be happy. I have an 04' Kingcat 900 right now.....anyone know if I can put the 900 in it ??

On the m-sleds the intake and exhaust is on the same side of the motor. I would just go with a bikeman bb.

I've seen pics of an 1150 (900 stand up based) in an M, but from what I read here, it was a lot of work.

Could I put a 700 from an m7 or an 800 from an m8 in it easily?

all you need is the 700 cylinders, the cases are the same. Any bb kit for the 7 will work for the 6 put you have to add 7 cylinder to the mix. Most manufacturers have an option to purchase 700 jugs with the kit for a few hundred more....thats what i'd do.

M6 bottom end is same as 7 so any of the bigbores out there will fit and there are some good deals on used ones as guys try to trade in stock because dealers are scared of mods.

The short answer is NO. I have ridden an M6 and had a 900 for a couple of years. Go drive a 4 cylinder 4wd pickup and then drive a v8................... it's that noticable!!!!
