Looking to buy a new or used tekvest, any reason they wouldn't be recommended for a dirt bike and where are the best deals? any used XL or XXL out there? thanks

honestly, keep the tekvest for snow and get some decent armor for dirt.

a roost guard will stay far cooler in teh summer than the tekvest ever will be.

Well, I've got a used BeeWear XXL if your interested but it'd be a hot mother to wear in the summer.

I started the summer with a Thor Impact Rig and even that was too hot for me. Then I switched to a plastic roost guard style one for dirt and that's been working well, as cool as one can get and quite a bit more protective than I would have thought, Trust me I've tested it

A Tekvest is even hot to wear during the winter. I wouldn't want to ride around in one during the summer. Plus, it would be a PITA to clean the mud, dirt and dust off it.

know guys that do...most just wear a roost guard. I've taken some good hits in my roost guard and even taken some good shots from tree branches. I can see where if you got all wadded up a tekvest might be more comforting if you got a handle bar the guts....but damn you would be hot...I get to hot wearing a mesh jersey, under armour and my roost guard.

All the same I thought Bee-wear was coming out with a vented vest for the dunes.

I wear my TekVest (I've got the racing one - suffering from a brain fart and forgot the name) and I wear it for sleding and when I go out on quad. Riding n 25C temperatures here I wear my TekVest with a hoodie and t-shirt and don't overheat or find it too bad. I was out on a 3.5 hours ride on Saturday with my TekVest and got soaked but never felt that I was ever too warm. It's nice and comfortable too.
