Technical riding in the rabbit ears area?

So, i do very much like riding rabbit ears, and im planning on making a trip back this year at the end of the month. However, it really seems more oriented to more powder riding and bowl type riding. Am i just missing good technical riding areas to go use? I did find a handful when picking around last year, but mostly just looking for more. Much better for those trips when the weather/snow isnt perfect. Also, doing a little planning out of the usual for me, taking a handful of less experienced riders out west, and theres a bunch more tame riding for them to make use of to get their bearings. Will be launching from kremmling.

Appreciate it!

There is no shortage of technical tree riding out there - most days once we're past the first big meadows from dumont/muddy creek we don't touch the trail at all. Can't stand the whoops anyway. Do some google earth recon or download the COTREX app if you want to see the trails in more detail. After last weekend the trees should be good to go, Saturday we were log hopping but by Sunday they were all covered with a nice heavy base.

Good luck and have fun

You guys going out this weekend out to rabbit ears? I was thinking heading out there this weekend

Nah not much tbh you’re pretty much limited to a couple hillsides mostly right off the groomed trails on the way north to buff pass … that’s kinda why whenever we dive off into the trees for like a whole day we rarely see any other groups till we get back to the horrendously whooped-out trail for the ride back to the parking lot till we get sick of that after like 40 feet then dive back off into the trees again to get back to the lot …. Idk not much technical riding these days I supposes but ears does get a lot of snow still.
