tech tip: a arm washer replacement

Just one more tip to put on your preseason check list. After 900 or so miles the front ends become sloppy/loose. Put your front end up on a stand and rock the spindle top back and forth. Lots of play! 1/4" at least...now look close, the bushings seem to be holding up well, but there are spring washers on the side of them in the upper a-arm that wear out and need replacement. 4 of them needed, under 5 bucks....

Wonder Just what do those wavy little washers do? Intent from engineering standpoint.

Same question here. I'm in the process of putting on titanium arms and those springy washers won't work with these arms.

I thought they were there to make it easy for the assembly line (mine was a bit sloppy after 100 miles), so I shimmed mine to fit the frame.
