Now that the snow has started has anyone tried one of the new team clutches? How do they seem to be working in comparison to the lwt 04s

I was not there testing, but I have first hand info....On a stock 600 IQ RMK on the trail (not enough snow to get off) the sled would pull to 8200 very quickly, faster then the other 600 they had. I was told it back shifted very quickly and did not have the RPM flucuation. The belt and clutch temps seemed to be lower also. I have no other information, but when the snow gets deep out here I'm sure I will know more.

I don't have specification regarding helix or spring, this is all I know.

C'mon, there has to be more people that have tried them by now, I'm waiting to get mine, its been on backorder for about 3 weeks now

Weeeelllllll, if it's backordered, maybe the folks that ordered one haven't gotten them yet, and that's why nobody has experience to post. ;)

couldn't let that one go.....

by the way, I'm interested to hear how this works....

Had mine out for one ride so far. Worked well with the way I had it set up. I am going to try a few different things this week to see what changes (improvements or not) it makes. Right now it seems to run about the same as the way I had my old one set up with improved back shifting and cooler temps. Am going to try lighter primary weights, the steeper cut on the helix and probably try putting the old primary back one once too. Want to see what the difference the updates make with my old set up.

difference?

I would like to hear anyone's comments on this as well. I like hearing cooler belt temps because my '07 700 runs great when the clutches are cool, as soon as you get heat in them you can tell your not where you want to be. I know with these tracks your are asking alot to "have your cake, and eat it too", but I also would like a little more top end.

well I finally recieved my clutch and got it put on. Hopefully early next week I will be able to get a ride in to try it out and report back. One negative thing about the new clutch is that it is 1lb 6oz heavier than my tss 04. Not too big of a deal but it is rotating mass.

we are running 2 of them on a 900 rmk and one on a 975. they have a lot better back shift in my opinion and seem to be really aggressive in the up shift. seems like they like a little lighter primary weight than with the old team clutch. about 2g per weight. yes belt temps seem better too.

so far we really like them but are going to try a couple of springs and a diff. helix cause i have it to see what it does.

we are running 75-57 .46/75-59 .46 with the red green spring also have a red blue and red black to try and a 70-57 .46/70-59 .46 to try.

I was finally able to try mine out on monday on my 08 d7. I really like it so far, my sled feels alot snappier, it is really smooth going from reverse to forward now. I am running a 73/59 helix with a red/dark blue spring which is 20lbs softer on the bottom and 40lbs softer on the finish rate than what I was running before and it still seems to backshift really well. My rpms stayed pretty consistent.
I checked the belt after playing around in some descent powder and I could touch it with my bare hands, something I couldn't usally do with the tss 04 so it must be working more efficiently.
I was riding with my wife so I didn't get a chance to compare it to any of my buddies sleds, one of which is a stock d7, to see how much improvement there really is. Seat of the pants feels pretty good but most sleds feel that way when your by yourself on the hill.
I will report back again when I get a better comparison
