Team-Tied, conclusive on benefit?

Will be balancing and re-surfacing my clutches. Thinking I might go with indydans kit, including the Team Tied secondary.

Heard/read mixed reviews on it, mostly from 2012. Just wondering if the people running them have come to a more uniform decision about how much better (if anything?) your sleds worked with a good setup tied?

Thanks.

Really like the setup i got from indydan.
I have the long rod to go with it.
Dan has a better helix that is full progressive.
Last years setup worked really well for me.
0-3000'
Running 19-45 gearing.
2011 pro 163 camo-x 2.5

Thanks. What drivers are you running together with that gearing? And does your setup include that progressive helix or did you mean he has a better one yet than the one you have?

Did you get the LR together with his Tied setup, or separate? Just wondering if you were able to test before/after just the addition of the tied setup.

Might need to look somewhere else for clutch work... I guess there isn't enough money to be made doing clutches for Indy Dan until spring and he's only doing motors until then. Just a FYI

I did the long rod and clutching together with a primary rebuild.
Grenaded the stock motor.
Stock drivers so far.
Have his roller drivers coming tho.
I do not have his newest helix its on the way.

Runs sweet.

That is false!! He balanced and serviced my primary on Thursday. Turn around was 3 days as usual!

I went to his public eBay store and bought his primary clutch service. Its posted for anyone to buy!

Interesting comment coming from a known proponent of Kelsey's; he got you running interference for him?

Anyway, If you are a normal repeat client of Dan's he will fit in your clutch work. If not; it is at his discretion, same as any other business.

Man everyone is touchy when it comes to Dan... He did mine also first of October but made it very clear he was taking no more clutches because the money wasn't there compared to his motor work (exact words straight from him). Not a bash just an fyi for somebody thinking they're gonna send him clutches for work. Glad he's still doing some for certain people or maybe things have changed. The following is cut and pasted from a email from him on Oct. 25.

"We are no longer excepting clutch work until next spring at season end, and we are not selling Clutch set-ups until next spring.
and we will not return and clutching e-mails or phone calls until spring. I am truly SORRY !!! The time we spend on clutches in this shop
there is not enough margin to make it work with all the motor work we do this time of year."

Team Tied

You see them on alot of machines in the pits of a RMSHA event and they are widely used in snocross also. The biggest reason is instant backshift and smooth upshift. Properly tuned, they are more fun in the trees and climb better when you are crossing trenches, going from packed to powder on the same hill, etc.

To take full advantage of the Tied, your primary must be fairly clean and in good condition. Proper button clearances, good bushing fit and good rollers are a must. If your sled is fairly stock, Team's recommended setups are very good.
