Team Tied, anyone?

Only a few threads with very minimal information, and mostly from beginning of season, before anyone really had a chance to put some miles on the Axys.

Now that a full season has gone by, did anyone run a Team Tied with any level of success? If so, care to share your elevation/setup?

Have one sitting here I'd like to utilize if there's a benefit :face-icon-small-ton

I have TIEDS on two of my sleds but not an axys.

Both sleds (11 pro and 04 pro-xr 910) showed better overall response (up/downshift) with the tied VS stock secondaries. I would imagine the axys will have some benefit from it too.

I know for sure that the sheave angle on the primary clutch is different from the Pro Ride to Axys. Not sure if this would be the same for the secondary, or if it would even be a big deal if it was, but might be worth looking into while you're gathering info.

I had one on my Pro. The problem is that it is very hard to compare to the TSS-004. Unless you had two secondary clutches on the hill to test with a temp gun, it's really hard to say how well the Tied works. It does shift better and doesn't have that clunk that we all know well.

I put 1800 miles on my AXYS with the Tied. The Tied was great for throttle response and slower speed on/off throttle terrain and a huge improvement there. The stock Team felt better on longer pulls when the secondary fully shifts out. I ran the red/black Team spring and delrin with 70-59/57.46 helix. Can't remember if I'm in the 59 or 57 slot. Up front Polaris Almond and 10-60's ground to 59.8 for 10'-12.5'K. I like the softer initial rate primary with the Tied, keeps the belt engaged.

^^^^^^
My experience was similar.

Belt life and track speed was better with the stock secondary.
Had 2 setups from tuners and tried a couple others, never could touch a well setup tss04.

Only ran on my pro.
Sold it with a spare sled (best use for a tied ever) so I could keep the tss04 and now i use that one to swap secondary setups at the truck. :)

I ran stock sec. with carls clutch kit and a TIED back to back on the same slope in the mountains for half a day. Tied came out the winner, response was better everywhere. Did not see any difference in track speed though (maybe .5-1mph but probably not, lol). I didn't use a temp gun but my hands felt the tied was no hotter than stock sec, possibly cooler. I will say in 1000miles on my pro with tied i have never had a belt/rpm issue.

Found the same as you Biltit, ran the Tied on the Pro, power was always right there, real happy with the setup, belt looks like new still, runs cool etc.
But that's my son's sled now (new rider) so it's kind of going to "waste" on it right now, so thought I could snipe it and add some shiny parts to mine that are already paid for lol :face-icon-small-hap
