Team roller secondary set up 02 700 rmk

I'm familiar with the proper set up for the 800, but not the 700. I'm running CPI race pipes/stingers, lightly ported/polished, cases matched to cylinders, v-force reeds, 151 track, 200 pound rider (without all my gear), agressive skilled rider that likes to boondock hill climb and jump, running almond tapered primary spring with 56 gram weights, 3000-6000 feet is my primary riding elevation. It seems like these pipes like an rpm of about 8300-8400. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Why are you going to a TEAM instead of just running the button clutch?

The '02 we setup with reverse we put the stock '03 800 Escape helix in and it worked well.

I'm going to be running PERC. What are the numbers for the 03 escape helix? Also, what spring should I run?

It's a 58/44 .46. The 700 will pull a 60/44 and even a 64/44 64/40 well too, especially at your riding altitudes.

I use the black with red stripe, which if you buy from Polaris now is just a solid black spring.

How do you like the CPI's? What are you using for a head? You have the exact setup I'm thinking of for an '04 700 I just bought.

I've always loved the cpi's. I've never had them on a 700 before though. So far they seem to be just as awesome out in my pasture! I just have the stock head on it. I've never really seen that much of a difference in the aftermarket heads, and I've tried them all. There may be a tiny bit of a gain, but it's not worth the $300 or so that they retail for, in my opinion

Its been a few years, but it seems to me I ran a 62/42 at similar elevation. The problem I did have with the steeper initial angle was on/off the throttle in deep snow the belt would slip on the secondary (once the secondary is completely backshifted). I added a shim (from SLP) to the secondary spring to shorten the 62 degree angle from .46 to .40, plus adds a few pounds of pre-load. This did the trick. I did not have this problem with the SLP single just with the twins
