Back on a ski-doo after 9 yrs seat time on a others. Picked up an '07 800 summit. Talk to me about going to a Team secondary vs the stock one.

Hey Troy, the stock one works awesome, if you get the updates. You need new roller's and bushings. Make sure you put the right weights, and the right spring, and you won't have to buy the team. We had our 07's rippin. Maybe try the DJ kit, he'll set you up with everything you need for a couple hundred bucks. Congrats on the new sled!
I prefer the Team secondary. The Doo roller is OK, but the bushing wears FAST and then things get inconsistant. The team is very durable and consistant and seems to run a bit cooler. Ditto on the primary rollers, go aftermarket as the stock roller bushing material is junk, goo for about 500 miles.

The stock primary was built to the wrong tolerances. It is POS! No mater what you do it will not shift consistantly. It will bind, rollers will fail, etc... BRP will throw bandaids fixes at it and it will still not hold consistant RPM's. Take off the '07 primary throw it in the trash and buy a new or used '08-'09 primary.
