Team Clutch for XP

Hey guys...I am just wondering if anyone is running the Team Clutch set up on their XPs. I am thinking about putting one on and I am wondering if they are worth the money. Any suggestions would be great.

I think you could achieve the same results for much less $$ by running a properly set up doo primary and secondary. Much of the problems with the XP clutching is from the primary. Changing ramps, weight , spring and helix will make a world of difference and for less than half of just the team secondary. I think the team is a great secondary but IMO not worth that kind of money for the improvement you may see. If you want to drop that kind of money there are other mods I would do first.

The only aftermarket clutch more efficient than the stock QRS is the Paragon.

Don't waste you money on the Team. Buying a QRS clutch kit from a reputable vendor will give you better results and will cost less than half the price of the Team setup.

Clutching

What a bunch of bull shiiiiiiiiit i have 07 with clutching that is as closs as my1974 john deere spitfire and doo says they have a fix 5 trys and bull sssssssssssss. They says belts are warrenty but i take them in and no more warrenty. Now the 09 xp 800 i went with my buddy his belt and clutchs were so hot you could not hold onto belt or clutchs my buddys 09 artic cat were cold and clutches were not hot.Doo you have to start looking after your buyers but if you could read english you might.I forgot i have 06 800 what a kick *** unit. THANKS

Thanks guys for the opinions. One of the things I am trying to get away from is the heat the TRA's are known for. We just put the 09 setup on my sons XP. Seams to be much more consistant, lower heat, and the belts seam to be wearing better. Team has always been known for good set ups, but I think we'll just go with 09 setup for my 08 unless someone can convince me the Team or someone else is worth the $$$.

Just talked to the guy I sold my 06 159 800 Summit X. 3500 miles and not one blown belt. I did not change the belt in 1300 miles. He now changes the belt once a year - Just because.

My 08 163 XP has 1200km and I just changed the original belt - Just because.

I remember back with the 670's and into the ZX chassis when I could blow belts at will. I tried polaris primaries, cat secondaries and the team. I really liked the cat, but why give up reverse. I came to the conclustion, Sh!t in = Sh!t out. I didn't matter what primary or secondary I was using, if it wasn't properly set up it just wouldn't work.

The QRS and Paragon are very sensitive to small changes in helix angles and spring weights because they are so efficient. This is a main reason so many have yet to set them up properly. BRP is challenged with emissions and other restrictions that limit what they can provide.

The stock clutching can really be improved on. For me, I just can't justify $1500 to buy the Paragon and shaft when $260 buys a clutch kit that provides great performance!

the team setup that is available from HOLZ (not the same as the team one) is 100% worth the money. I have 09 clutching in an 08 right now and there is flat out no comparison. Acceleration, backshift and heat are dramaticly improved. The biggest one time improvement i have seen in a long time, I would not have beleived it until I had a chance to ride one, then I ordered the kit the next day, and I wasn't even thinking about spending any money on anything.
