TD stage 4 question

I recently bought a 2012 m1100t with a TD stage 4 flash. Has EPMR settings. The race setting is fully turned to the right but doesn't feel like it has much power, I turn the knob back a turn and it pulls like crazy. Turn it back to the second setting and it still pulls much harder then race.. What's going on??

On setting 1,2 and 4 the knock light only flashes once but on the 3rd setting it flashes 3 times..
Any help would be great! Thanks

Forgot to mention I am running 116 octane fuel. And never seen any knock light flash while riding

Not a lot of guys running TD flashes in this forum as most guys are mountain riders. More guys running TD stuff on the hcs forum so if you don't get an answer here try your luck there.

Used to have that set up. There is a lock ring under the swithch if you take it out you will see that it isnt indexed correctly. Once it is in the correct possition it should only have 4 possition that it can go to. Take the swith out and just cycle the key, work the switch untill you have the proper light sequence and then install the lock tab.

Check wires going from switch to ecu. They may be connected wrong.Red wire to pin 30. You need racefuel to run Race map.

I wasnt thinking at the time, great set up if you play in the flats, havent rode in the flats in 4 years.

The answer is simple. Your switch is most likely defective.

The only position that works is 3 (which is why it pulls really hard in that position) All other positions is your base map (lowest in HP)
