tcp edge front suspension upgrade

Does anyone here remember the tri-city performance kit for the polaris edge front suspension? If I remember right, it took the top of the shock and moved it more outboard, or moved it out and down. My questions are does anyone have any pics of this kit, has anyone ever tried one out? and would anyone have one lying around for sale? Thanks John

Does it handle any better than the stock set-up? Did it help with the washing in the corners? And did it seem to handle better in the deep powder? Thanks for the pic. It looks like the ones they had on thier web site a few years back. I would like to build one or buy one if I can find one. Thanks John

It widens ski stance I thinks i am at like 42.5" center to center of spindle. It seems to handle good. Buddy rented a 09 Dragon 155 800 last year and he had said he almost went off a couple cliffs trying to keep up with me coming down hill. ( And trust me on this one, nobody rides harder than him he's a freak of nature or something ) Said i must have had my sled working good suspension and power wise. My thought on that was he's just a good friend making me feel good. I have my bars up pretty high and if they were 3 or 4 inches lower He probably would have flew off cliff trying to pass me. Try sucking up your rear suspension strap a bit. What ski' you running? a set of Simmons reg width may help. For Deep snow it actually feels pretty good it is obviously better in fresh deep snow but I never had no problems with side hilling at all. Again I have some high bars and 6' 1" tall and 215LBS.:beer;

Thanks for the info. I am 6' 2'' and about 190, and my bars are high also ( they are level with the top of the windshield). My transfer is just right in the powder, I had a problem with it wheeling over, but now it lifts the skis just out of the snow. I have the sidehiller II skis and am looking for a set of the grippers. It acts like there is something wrong in the front suspension, but not sure. I didn't have any problems last year that I am aware of, I was just marking it up to the snow conditions. Thanks for your help.

your front shocks? good you running sway bar? I rented a New Cat in rev about three years ago and I couldn't ride it it was all over the place one of front shocks or both must have been hooped. I wouldn't take it the next couple days took a rev and was happy. Check your shocks out for sure.:beer;

Yes, You are probably right. I still have the stock front shocks on. I have been trying to find a reasonably priced set of ryde fx. I think that should help it handle better in the corners for sure.

Your stock shock may be fine Take them off and take springs off them and check them maybe one is done. Check ski allignment and make sure your trailing arms/spindles alignment is good.:beer;

I have a TCP front on my 03 VE and found a better ride on the whop-de-do's, but a little tougher side hill. I think mostly it's just a longer shock with the upper parallel bar bent to accomidate the longer travel. Good shocks make the biggest difference. I drive like old women so the sidehill difference might be unnoticeable to a more agressive driver. Spend you money on shocks.

Does anyone have the dimentions of the upper and lower radius rods used in this kit?? Thinking of making a few if I can get the upper rod dimentions. If anyone has these can you lay the upper rod on a piece of paper and trace it out for me to copy ? thanks

Pretty Sure I still have one or two sets of the TCP long travel radius rods, if anyone is interested. Let me know.

Will try to take a pic and post this weekend.
