Tapex tunnel extension for a 174"

I have just accuired a rear mount Tapex and am thinking about running a 174 track.
My problem is the sled came with a fresh powder coating on the tunnel and instead of powdercoating an extension I am wondering if I can put a 174 track and skid under a stock tunnel?
I suppose I could get a tunnel extension matched up...but would sure be happy and a lot easier if I could just run the stock one.
Has anyone tried this?

i think the track will extend past the bumper. the apex tunnel does not extend very far past the end of the track. unlike nytros where u can get away with stuffing a larger size track in.

Yes, you can run a 174 with a stock tunnel.
