Just wondering for the fellas that went from a tapex to a tnytro good change? I'm done for the winter due to an injury and wondering if I should sell the MCX Apex and build a Nytro or keep riding the Apex next year?......Biggest question is.....Is the Nytro night and day for manuvering throught the trees? And the other is there much to gain switching to a Nytro????

When a fella has this much time to think about it...there's alot of waffling....lol

Ive made the switch and love it, Nytro even with an M10 is easier to throw around than my apex. I recommend going with at least a 162 16W on a nytro if your doing a build. My old MCXpress apex seemed to pull harder at top end but we will see how my Powderlites Nytro converted to Neil's new Boost It Fuel System does this year. Also I recommend not using the Gen 2 simmions on the yammies as they make them feel 10 times heavier than they are stock skis are fine.

I would also be interested to hear from people. I have a impulse apex that pulls like a train. It is very stable climbing but a little heavy on our hard snow in northern ca. Thinking of doing a Nytro but quite a bit of $.

Keep the Apex for sure. I've had both a boosted Nytro and a boosted Apex. I ended up going back to an Apex. Search previous topics for more specific info why. Especially if you are riding harder snow the Nytro will seem like more of a bear than your Apex. They are a beauty in the pow but will absolutely wear you out on set up snow.

I think the Nytro is a great machine for sure but i love the 4 stroke powerplant so much more. Why not stuff that 4 banger into the Nytro and then you will have something ! Nypex it !

I love the Apex LOL !!

We've talked about this and I'll tell you straight up what you should do. Bottom line is if you have the money and don't mind putting it into the nytro you should do it up. You've had the apex long enough that your probably ready for a change. Like any sled, you ride it long enough and you'll get used to it. Gerald Walters made the change and put 2000 km's on his nytro and said the day he saw it go down the road in someone elses truck was the happiest day of his life. He couldn't get used to the chassis no matter what he did he said. So there is a chance that you might not like it. But you've ridden Hanlon's nytro and didn't mind it, so get it going on.lol I think you've pretty much talked yourself into it, and with your injury you've got lots of time to think about what your going to do. Let's get you a turbo lined up, I'll call Myles tomorrow(I know you want to do your own install) but he'll still get you a good price. and see what he's got for 09's left. Get it going, do the not payment for 6 months, give you time to pawn, trade, burn the apex off and build it up. I'll let you know what he says tomorrow.

you know that would be really cool, but the down time if you a a minor wreck with a custom chassis probably not worth it.....unless your a super welder/fab and have all the tools at your disposal...

i just finished watching Thunderstruck 9 ( hats off to the riders awesome) and man the Nytro looks like a blast to ride....more my riding style....I really shouldn't watch these movies...lol...put ideas in my head i cant get out....lol

I wouldn't let that scare you off. The Nypex can use the stock Nytro front end or a custom cromo or Ti one from Diamond S. I've bent the front end on both of my Nytros so I'd be inclined to go with the Diamond S cromo one for the strength. You are going to have the same exact exact exposure with the Nypex that you'll have with a stock Nytro. It doesn't matter whether you have a CR tunnel or a Diamond S or a stocker if you wreck that it wasn't a minor wreck.

5 years??? Holy crap did you put a ring on that sled somewhere? The nice thing about sleds is that we get to dump them and start again and it doesn't cost us for the rest of our lives. I would sell it and start over, even of you did another apex, gives you something to do all winter.

haha that's funny. Now you gotta tell her it's time to sell it before it loses all of it's value.

If I could have one of your shoulders I would be good to go. I'm done until the new year, hopefully that's it.

That would be a fun project, if you are married to the 4cyl do it if not just do a nytro and ride. Some little fab here and there just enough to keep you happy.:face-icon-small-win
