Breather hose has steam coming out,and smells like gas,what would cause this?
Tapex crack case breather hose?

Overheating it and blowing the headgasket could do it, as could overboosting and pushing pressure by the headgasket

I dont thank its been over boosted,new build only gone through the yard,and started in the shop tuning on.Im sure the head shim was done right we made sure of that.
Cylinder leakdown test cold and hot. Combusible gas leak detector on the coolant tank should tell the story. I'm assuming you have all the air out of the system, didn't realize it was a new build. If it's just around your yard it's unlikely a turbo will overboost. If this is the same Apex in your other thread that won't run I would also recheck your cam timing. You really need to eliminate the possibility of the gasket leak by doing the first two checks I mentioned.

You should do the leak down test. is it blowing steam when idleing or when you are driveing it around the yard and how much?
