First and Foremost, I want to give a huge THANKS to "Brian1993" and his crew for all the help today
For the rest of you, the story starts out meeting them at Eagles Nest where our 2 groups met while getting everyone parked and turned around on a narrow section of road at the snow line... About an hour into our ride we ran into each other again and chatted for a while, then went about our ride for another hour. Later we all ran into each other for a 3rd time as we were all trying to make it to Blue Slide to check things out one last time.... from there we decided to team up and see if we could find a way with the diminishing snow... after some serious boondocking through the trees we managed to get ourselves up to the lake for some water skipping.
2 from our group, and 2 from his group take turns having some fun and seeing how much we can do without getting wet. While there were some close calls, apparently I drew the short straw
Cluster of sled rigs at Eagles Nest
This was quite the landing off of the cornice
Super Bowl is surprisingly good yet
And now for the water pics... in the order they were taken....
After a couple hours of work, pulling the rope who knows how many times, getting all the water out of the motor, and trying various different approaches, we got the sled dried out and running and I was able to ride it back to the truck without any issues whatsoever - THANKS EVERYONE!!!
I'm just glad it was 65* out and that the water wasn't too cold
I hope Brian's crew post up their pics... it was a fun time all in all!
