Tampico/Darland Mt. questions???

I've only been up Tampico once, last year, and turned around by the tree phones,

My question's are;


*Does the trail that leaves there off to the right, go around Darland Mountain?

*Is the trail simple for someone who does not know where they are going, and how long round trip?

*Any special attractions along the way... I've heard a rumor about a big bowl up there somewhere?

Basically I'm looking to investigate the more populated areas so I am not by myself since my buddy injured his shoulder a couple weeks ago

Yes, If you follow that road up (to the right) you will end up on top of the mountain at the super bowl. Several good play areas up there. If you want to go further you might need a guide dog.

Ah yes, Thanks, but I am already quite familiar with that site

What I was hoping for was a little inside info that they don't publish on those maps; The "Super Bowl" for example, I have never been to, and any other play areas along the way that would be interesting for one person to fool around in without getting too terribly stuck, lost,etc...

Take the road up there, you will know the super bowl when you get there. Can't miss it. But IMO it is not that super. There are a ton of places to play up there.

try to tag up with somebody at the snowpark, get there early, and find a group to hang with (check to see if they are ok with it)

I never ride alone.

I have not road there a lot but just keep heading up. There are a tons of places to play. Be adventureous and I bet your will have a great time.

I don't mean to come off as a jerk just don't like to hold others back if our abilities aren't up to par. We ride Tampico/Ahtanum, Rimrock, and the Highway 410 side.

yah, don't ride alone,there are too many things that can happen.pm me if ur lookin to ride up there,great area,lots of playtime.it only gets better past the tree phones.
