take me to skid school

i would like to longtrack my 08 sno pro. but would like to setback the skid and strech it to 141. also what drivers would be best? any help and or opinions would be appreciated.

141" tracks are 3.0" pitch drivers so you would have to change out the stock 2.52" drivers

Lots of 141's are 2.52" pitch, just the newer ones are 3". If you've got the clearance, I wouldn't change the drivers. Figure out a tunnel extension, and if the mounting holes are the same, just put in a 141 M5 suspension and call it done.

mounting holes are diffrent between the snopro and the M suspensions, C2C distance.

A skid setback gives the sled alot more ski pressure and alot of people that do it regret it (not all but majority) If you go with just rail extensions you will have alot more transfer since you are basically extending past the rear arm, the longer rails act as leverage aginst the skid forcing it to transfer or compress easier.

I have done a few 144 snopro setups, luckily with the higher rate springs and valving its not to bad when you go up to 144 (even did a 151). If it was me I would go with extensions over a setback on that chassis.

buy an m7! you can pick up a decent m7 for 3 to 4 grand. it's gonna cost half that to convert your current sled. might as well save up the dough and have both :)
