Tachometer accuracy?

I checked my '13 in '13 using a PCV and computer and later with Boony box.

If you held it steady it was within 20 rpm always. If you blipped it, it was about 40 to 80 rpm low. Never checked it off the crank.

I think they are pretty accurate just slow (the display). Max recall was always within 20 rpm though.

That's a neat feature KJ. When you're looking at your data logs, what are you comparing too?
 
I usually carry my laptop with me on the hill, I will do a data log up a hill and watch my afr gauge as well as my tach and then go back down to the bottom of the hill and plug my laptop in and look at the data log. It's usually somewhat close but have seen so odd numbers at times
