SX kit on PDS bike?

After finally getting to ride some deep last weekend, I am admitting defeat to my sx idea and excepting that I will never be happy unless I have a LT. Such a huge plus in the deep pow! The LT rides better than the St suspension wise in my opinion.

Did you have an LT on a 300 yet? Was it enough bike?

I will have the lt on a 300 soon. I believe it will be enough power and torque, the 300 with a st does a lot of track spin in my opinion. I feel the 300 is more suited to load than free rev. My personal 300 is built to rev as much as possible without using the domed piston conversion. That might be the next level though. A true sx, with the gas gas domed piston conversion, running on straight 110 leaded. I hate to admit it but after riding in some really deep condition I am admitting that a e start is awfully nice. Hard enough to get on the bike in 60" of fluff, much less kick the sob. I know one thing for sure, the 300 feels so quick and light compared to a 450 or a 500plus four stroke. Time will tell.

Ugh. All this seems like such a hassle. I just wish TS made something to make this work. Seems like such a simple thing. Make it part if the fit kit package for that bike.

Well it looks like UFO has the setup to work with PDS. Might just be easiest to sell my ST for a UFO.

Just called Caleb @ PMB. The PDS bracket is on their R&D to do list but not slated for production anytime soon. Just no demand.

I also called 2moto to see if we could make their bracket work - no dice.

So we are left trying something ourselves or going UFO or ST or trading in our bikes. I find this very disheartening because I have about $3k in mods to my XCW of which only half would be transferable to a newer XC.

Apparently all Caleb did was bend the upper portion of the strut bar in an S shape to match the upper mount location. Doing this should shorten it a tad but could also ask TS to provide a longer rod. I'm not sure why TS couldn't just provide them this way? Seems they would have the manf equipment to do this. Either that or could possibly find a local machine shop to do this. My only concern doing it this way is that we end up with fatigue in the metal rod and a possible weak point if not done properly.

I have considered making a custom strut rod for sxf's with standard kits in order to run a pod intake more easily. on those the strut is really close to the throttle body and the stock intake boot just gets by. I would think u could make a custom steel strut rod or a custom upper mount relocator bracket for the bike upper shock mount to center it and get a sx kit onto a pds bike. Maybe I'm off, but even if it took you a couple of days it should not be that hard.

come up with a design and offset requirements, im SURE someone on here or local is cabable of making something for you. might not be cheap, but sounds like your best bet.
