thinking about sno checking the 2013 sno pro rmk and selling my 09 m limited. how was the switch? any mods that are needed to make sled work great? Rode the 2012 assault yesterday and really enjoyed the feel of it and i think it fit me pefect.

thanks everyone

I just got off of a 09 m-8 sno pro, bought a 12 polaris 155 pro. I love it! that cat was a terrible riding machine and mine had a misserable power band in the trees, after every ride it was put more money in it trying to improve it, This polaris has a awsome suspension, and excellent power, I love mine and would never look back! the only thing I kept from the cat was the rear bumper, it totally fixes the factory bumper problems and looks like its factory. hope this helps, but its just my opinion and I am a boondocker not a hill climber

Perfect tlm. thats what i was looking for. I do 90% of my riding in the trees and jumping creeks. not much of a climber either.

thank you

Maybe it's just me, but I think the sleds are pretty similar. The Pro-chassis is phenomenal at holding sidehill lines, as is the M8. The difference I really see in the two is the amount of effort it takes, and how the Pro is able to "stay on track" when it encounters obstacles on sidehill lines. I have also noticed that I am able to ride further forward on the Pro chassis, and keep both feet on the running boards a good deal of the time.

I'm also thinking of snow checking a 2013. My thoughts are handling wise in technical situations is that the pro is the best at the techincal stuff, and the M is second place - their overall architecture is similar w/ the Pro taking the good and vastly improving it. The biggest difference i feel is the fatigue from riding an M compared to Pro as well as the commanding riding position the pro has over the M. You ride further forward on Pro for sure, where the M feels positively enormous out in front of you. The suspension action is also vastly improved on the Pro, even if the shock package is not that much better (or worse). The M's steeply raked running boards always wore my legs out faster too. I also think the Pro is a lot smaller feeling than the M, which again helps with its agility. Basically the Pro is what the M should have become (instead of becoming a crossbread of an M and an XP - belt issues included!). The steering geometry is right, the small feeling is right, and clutches are good, the skid the is money, and its light! I just wish it had a little more poop. Not tough to add that!
