Switching bars? How to secure grips? 09 m8

I'm pretty sure I just seen a thread on this but I cant find it. I bent the *&%* out of my stock bars on my 09 m8 and I got some bars off an 09 m1000. I was just wondering how to secure the grips? Do I need a special glue or anything? Thanks!

best thing i've used is spray paint. my stock grips on my m7 were always sliding off then i used spray paint on them and haven't had a problem since.

I use Yellow weather stripping adhisive. You can buy it at most auto parts stores.

If you use it, you will have to cut the grips off the bars if you ever need to replace them.

Arctic Cat recommends Loctite 498. when replacing the grip warmer elements wrap some electrical tape around them in a couple spots to keep the grip from disturbing them during application.

I have terrible luck with handwarmers and aftermarket grips. They always seem to move and break the wires. I got some solid ATV grips with warmers in them made by Moose and have had decent luck with those this year.

Used the adhesive I found ( just some spray stuff I found laying around in the shop). Works great but now my hand warmers dont work, but everything back the way it came off and made sure those 3 little wires were in the correct spot.
