I bought a 2012 SBA and wanted to get feed back on the rear bumper since it comes with a aluminum one from factory. Is it stronge? Is it snobunje proof or weak. Does a person replace it like the front bumper?

I consider the bumper a travesty. All show and no go. Mine is ruined and was replaced with IQ units capable of towing. 550iq

Thanks everyone. I guess I will be replacing the rear as well as the front. I know the factory is trying to save on weight and stuff but you wou think they would give you a frt and rear bumper that is strong.

There is nothing wrong with the stock rear bumper if you only use it for what it was intended to be used for. That is: for lifting/pulling the sled *by hand*. Polaris will never endorse pulling of other sleds with the SB or Pro chassis, regardless of the bumper. The tunnels are not designed for it.

There are those that understand the risks and choose to mitigate it by installing a stronger bumper….one that doesn't shatter like the stock carbon fiber, break when wheeling and also provides additional strength to the tunnel. There are numerous solutions out there.

Just keep in mind that replacing the bumper will not keep the tunnel from getting tweaked under extreme pulling. Especially off angle pulling.

Know the risks and be smart about it!

Thats all fine and dandy but when a brother needs a tow home, then you do what you have to do.
