Swaybar

Just had a simple question about the sway bar on my sled (07 summit non x). Can i just unhook the plastic pieces that link the swaybar to the a arms to see how i like it w/o removing it all the way? or would it just beat up my sled whenever i went over a bump? Dont wana hear about pros and cons of swaybar please. thanks for the help

I took out 1 bolt and rode it for a day, no problems. I found I needed stiffer springs without the bar, about $65 from Doo.

is that the only way to make the front stiffer is new springs?

No, you could just crank the shocks down, but usually you cant get enough out of them without the stiffer springs. You just have to try it, because at that point it comes down to personal preference, what you like.

Crank em down, if its to floppy still, get the springs.:)

Pulled the sway bar off my XP and just adjusted the front springs from 2 to 3 and works fine for me. Little softer in the corners on the trail, but trail is only about a 12 minute ride up to alpine so not a problem.

Ya, just pull the little plastic linkages and let the aluminum bars hang down.

Thats all I did and haven't had any problems.

Guess you could pull the aluminum bars off as well and just leave the shaft.
