Sway bar

Took the sway bar out last night rode today I couldn't tell the difference on the trail what did i just gain or loose. I took it out cause the mounts where all cracked and busted. Riding in october was Awesome:D

I found mine much easier to ride. Everyone kept telling me I would be on my side all the time, it was just the opposite. I hate the sway bar. I even brought my front end in with shorter rods. I am no Bret Rassmussan, but I am happier and closer.

Was there any tricks to getting it out???

I pulled mine out from the clutch side as far foward as I could get it. I also unbolted the arms and used a jack until I found a position that worked. It was like a puzzle, but it comes out.

Or you could save some time and cut it at the belly pan... would probably just pull right out then.

Ha ha ha, I keep thinking the same thing and mine has been out since 2002.

Just drill out the rivets holding the brackets, unhook your trailing arm in the back or unbolt the steering and radius rods on the PTO side and wiggle it out. I guarantee you will never need it again.

It makes it alot easier to throw the sled around in the pow w/o the bar, but makes the sled unstable at highspeeds on trails and whatnot, kind of a trade off... can't get the best of both worlds, murphy doesn't like that. And the more weight you can cut, the better ;) It all adds up.
