Sway Bar Remove--what springs and shocks did you use?

I have a 2006 REV 800 Adrenaline (non rebuildable front shocks). I would like to take off the swaybar since I mainly mountain ride. For those of you that have taken off the sway bar and replaced your stock front shocks and springs, what did you use? I know the ski wont handle like stock on the trail but I think with the right set up it shouldnt be too bad. Post your setups please. Thanks

Fox Float Evol-R's. Increasing the pressure in the Evol chamber decreases the sled roll associated with removing the stabilizer bar and improves bottom out resistance without affecting the overall plushness of the air shock. It's the only setup I know that truly gives you the best of both worlds. They aren't cheap tho! I also use HPG piggybacks with dual rate Sno-X springs valved by Ross at Hygear for my Gade with no bar. Also works well but much heavier and probably have as much $'s into them as the Evol-R's.

Have FUN!

Jrod has hillshooter billet shocks on his rev mod. I don't know much about them, but they look good. Shoot him a pm for details.

If your wanting to keep your stock shocks. I have a set of higher rate front springs that you can have for cheap.

On my 04 I used Fox Zero Pro and a 150# spring and that spring use was clearly based upon rider weight and habit. I have the Fox Float Evol's now on my 07 and I will say they seem to work much better versus the setup I used on the 04.

I kept my stock shocks on and flipped them. Once you get the shocks you want on your sled you can make the neccessary adjustments on the trail. I've alos been thinking about changing my stock springs out for some stiffer one's but don't have any idea what size I would need.
