Swap telescoping post to standard post 09 m8?

I have the telescoping steering post on my 09 m8 and i'm willing to swap it out for a standard post for free if the person pays the shipping. My question is I have the telescoping steering post with the AMP 2" riser and I love how my bars sit. What would I have to do to get a standard steering post to get my bars to sit the same? I'm thinking at least a 4" riser. Thanks!

They say the adj. post is = to a 3.75, so I would guess a 6" would be pretty much what you have now. (you'd be 1/4" high)

I did the same thing and used a rox 3.5" riser. Lotsa guys wanted to do the swap.

good lookin set up, but being i'm about 6'2 I need a little more rise. I have a 2 inch AMP riser ontop of the telescoping post and I still have room in my cables, I'm pretty sure a 6 will fit. A 4 or 5 inch riser is what I would be after

That little adapter is a rip off. I bought it from mountain magic but it would be just as easy to build one out of 3/8 flat stock aluminium. Nothing special. Also the higher you go the more tourqe you are putting on the steering post, so dont go any higher than necessary. I'm 6'0 and i dont have to bend over at all with this setup.
