swap out 155 track to 163

I am looking at putting a 163 or similiar track on my 155 sled. Researched and all suspension components appear to be same part number with exception of rails of course, be it OE or Ice Age flats.

I haven't done the measurements but will this stick out to any magnitude beyond the 155 tunnel? Or just continually suck the snow flap in?

Also would you receommend the Ice Age flat 163 rails vs OE on a stock sled?

your thoughts?

i have a take off 163 5.1 polaris track no miles on it. and a take off complete 163 rear suspension that will bolt right in. 500 dollars for track and 500 dollars for suspension. in b.c. canada phone 250 219 1849.

Just get the snoflap from a IQ Dragon and swap it out, holes line right up and it has that nice curve that give you plenty of room for the 163 track. Works better for cooling as well.

I just did this to mine at the beginning of the season. I have some extensions that will fit for your rails if you want to do it less expensively ($50+shipping...they are used). I went with the ice age rails before I found out the extensions I had would fit.

As far as the tunnel goes, drill your snow flap and re-mount it forward about 1/4" so that it doesn't settle into the notch underneath. It makes it stick out a bit more and covers the track fine and the block still keeps it so you can grab your handle. 900+ miles on my 12' so far after 4 trips to BC and works great.

The Ice Age rails would be less money... make sure to get a couple of extra rail cross braces for whatever rails you choose.

There are plenty of extensions to take up the 4" of extra rail length... FTX, SLP, VE etc make them.
