Suzuki Making the New Pro Motor?

So I was at my dealer today trying to get an update on my sled that's in the service dept and was chatting with one of the sales managers. Told him I was thinking about buying a 13 while they have the Feb rebate going on and he whispers a rumor that i kind of laughed at:

"There has been some Suzuki talk mentioned by Polaris for the 14 motor..."

Hmmm, like I said I laughed.

What do you guys think?

I'm not sure this may already be discussed in my other "New for 14" post but it's over my viewing limit.

If Suzi is fully in charge of building and designing the engine, I'm all for it.

If their forced to just "build to Pol specs", it won't matter, same ole junk.

Rather have Suzi building the engine ground up...

Half the fun of February is talking sh!t about how rad the new model year is SUPPOSED to be... c'mon!

I think it may be a Kia motor

Really who would want a dependable great riding skid that's half the fun of it wondering if you are going to get towed back in by that old summit or maybe that old edge.

Cat is still licensed to sell their current Suzuki built motors for 2014 so I find it highly unlikely Pol will get them to build motors this year.

It would be nice if it was possible to order a factory tow hitch on these new polaris sleds. A good strong one. In my world I MUST HAVE a sled with a tow hitch, pulling out dead machines, pulling a skimmer for the BBQ's, firewood for various camps guys have, that kind of thing.

I heard Navistar is planning on building the motors. Since Ford dumped them and started producing their own Powerstroke, they have lots of factory space available. Good news is that there will be a turbo and better mileage, bad news is that it will be less reliable than the current motor.

as long as they dont build it like a ski doo 2011 etec in my shop the front end tore off 1 rock low speed took out nose that front module sux 300 bucks and special rivets to grind off pine cone front end ha ha wouldnt trade my 11 pro for two of them!!!
