Suspension sag on the XP 154

I am wondering what the accepted sag in the rear suspension is for the 08 XP 154. If I pick up the rear to full extension and then let go it sags 2-3 inches. Is this normal, if not, do I replace the rear shock or the springs. I am guessing the springs but I wanna make sure.

Thanks

PJ, Mine does the same and bottoms out in the rough. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but was told the rear shock was factory charged to only 150-PSI and needs more pressure. Haven't been too much of a problem riding in the powder, but with things turning hard, I need to look into it more.

Mine is an Everest with only 200 miles on it and it is doing the same thing. I have the front shock and spring cranked to the top as I am a lard a$$ at 275lbs.

yep...the rear shock sucks on the XP. They recharged my rear shock and it helped a little. I guess the next step is having them add the heavier spring.

If you have the $$$ you should switch to Fox Floats.

There is an "bulletin" about the low shock pressure, mine actually leaked out the oil, also added heavier springs, springs are on back order to end of march as well as the shock

I can get mine to sag too if I have the limiter strap tight. Mine is no problem and I run on #2 on the back springs if I have the limiter strap out and the front shock spring tight. This puts the weight on the front of the skid so the back springs only have to carry your but weight.

Yeah, powder isn't bad but since our trails here are always groomed I have noticed bottoming out in the whoops. I did put a Fox Zero Pro on the rear. I think that the springs are just too light for a bigger guy and the 154.

To adjust the limiter strap you just have to take the bolt out and move it right? Totally different setup than my 05. I like my strap loose as it can get.

I even moved the lower mount forward in the rails 1 inch to get more push and then the strap actually does something too. Yes you have to undo the bolts to move.
