Suspension Rebuild... Problems

Well I was reading the thread rebuilding the rear skid on a budget..

I bought the recommend torsion springs and front springs.

The problem is the OD of the new front spring is too small and the cover is loose now. Should I update the cover?

Then with the torsion springs they contact the rear arm and top idler wheel.

Did I just spend $200 for nothing?

Im more concerned about the clearance to the idler wheel. Im thinking ill try and return them and get the HD springs for the sled instead of these that were recommended...

Or am I open to suggestions

The front shock cover being loose is not a big deal. Some guys don't even use he cover, so don't worry about that

2nd, u don't wanna get a diff torsion spring trust me..u may have the wheel installed backwards..try switching it around and check clearance again one side is slightly different.

Last the torsion springs are "cocked" to an angle when no load is applied. They may straighten out once sled is on ground In Turn straightening them out.

Trust me u are doing the right thing with this parts and u will not be happier unless u get a timbersled skid. ;)

If ur determined to sell the torsion springs still I'm interested cause I need a set still and soon.
