suspension question

I have a 2008 Apex MTX, when I lift up the back end there is a few inches of travel before I actually lift the sled up, would that be a shot shock? Or is that normal?

Transfer rod stops are broke inside the transfer rods. My old mans apex is the same. He's rode it 2 years like that. The ohlins shock that's on it is why his broke. Pushes back up to hard. Why did yours break?

Stock suspension? Torsion springs can tire out after alot of miles and show extra suspension sag, if rear bumper settles a about 1-1.5" after track touches ground, most like normal sag, if its more than that it winternutz's diagnosis is probably what you should be looking for.

it sags more than 1-1.5" for sure, not sure how it would have broken, i thought maybe the shock was sacked. It is stock suspension, 40th anniversary edition. Can they be rebuilt, or do i have to get a new set? How much?

I'd look at the stock shock...if its that vinatge it could be done. Fairly cheap to replace as well. Not serviceable.
Cheers
RS

I parted a stock Apex to build my Nypex, Ive probably got all the stuff here you need, I just want to clean out my shop so throw me any offer and its yours. I have the shock for sure. 1000 miles on it old guy trail rider I got the sled from.
