Suspension Question for 2003 1M

Looking to upgrade my front suspension. Got a '03 900 1M Mountain Cat. Thinking fox floats. Anyone know the CTC size? Any other shocks I should be looking at for this chassis?

Thanks!

Center to center is 15.8 inches. I tried some aftermarket floats on my 1M and didn't like them. They seemed to stiffen up too fast. If you let enough air out to prevent that then they were too soft for the first few inches of travel. I have had good luck with the stock shocks and front springs from a 98 or 99 ZR. Those springs are a little softer for the first few inches than the stock ones and IMHO really improve the ride. I suppose someone with more knowledge and experience with the floats would be able to revalve them to work better than mine did.

In conjunction, I have my Floats set at 55 and 65 psi and love them. I used to run Fox clickers with remote res. shocks and had them dialed perfect. However, wanting to go a little lighter and seeing that I don't use the remote res. shocks to their potential anymore.....It did take some fidgeting to get them proper but once I got the psi levels proper....I'm sold. Looking for some Floats for my rev too.
If anything it's my rear suspension that can't keep up with the front end. Although it would be nice to soften up the stutter bumps, I'm told that's a Float 2 upgrade that can be done. But for the time being, love the Floats.
