Whistler Search and Rescue flew me out of the backcountry after my accident last year...I probably would have died if the heli wasn't available. They do an amazing job and put their lives at risk.

I had a fundraiser fooseball tournament at my lodge Tuesday night and raised $1,000 for the Whistler Search and Rescue...it was the least I could do. Please support your local Search and Rescue.

Thanks Chris.. Something that no one thinks about until its too late.
They are also the first to be pointed the finger at when something does not go right..

Very good post Chris. Probably 95% of search and rescue people are volunteers. They do what they do because they want to, not because they are getting paid for it. My wife and I always support any fundraiser the local S&R has because you never know, someday it might be me that needs their help and I am certainly thankful that these volunteers would give up time with their loved ones to help somebody they may not even know. Hats off to all Search & Rescue members.
