Supplemental income

So we found out this week that we are having another baby, therefore would really like to pad the pocket book the next 8 months. I already have a full time engineering job but I’m salary and put in 45+ hour weeks already so I’m looking into a work from home thing. Any of you guys looked into some of the work from home deals? I know a lot of them sound too good to be true but I’m not looking to get rich. If I can put an extra $200-$300 a month into a savings it will come in handy when the baby is born. Any ideas or suggestions that have worked for you guys? Thanks!

Man Whore ;)

Not a good option...Judging by the probable clientel, you will smoke up the profits in therapy.

I am an engineer in a large firm and I found out that the single ladies need handyman work. I pimp myself out doing car repair. Light stuff, like brakes, oil changes, or even plumbing or electrical work, I did a roof this summer and tiled a girls window siles.

Do some work on the side, fixing computers, setting up VCRs/TVs (Get in on the DTV thing if you can), handyman, etc. Throw ads on craigslist or at grocery stores.

Company I work for is real good about handing out bonuses for additional work... our old bracelets took about 8 hours to calibrate, so we kept that system running all day... got a $50 bonus for going in nights/weekends to change out those loads... get bonuses for doing on-body testing (I get paid to drink... yeah... :)).... Probably a long shot, but maybe there's something like that you could get in on.

Garage sale some old stuff laying around ...

maybe find part-time work at a local shop?

Maybe change your tax withholding? An extra deduction should reduce your tax bill somewhat. By the way congratulations! Love my three and five year old boys.

Maybe this isn't your cup of tea, but I do bail bonds part-time.....good extra cash. I have always worked in LE, but finally I said why the hell am I not making money off these dirtbags! haha

Work at home.....what a joke! My wife looked harf into this and was completley lied to. PMI international was the company, I told the guy that I needed to look into his company B4 I would let her invest.........you can figure where it went from there.

I have looked into a bunch, all a lie, ALL!

Did she need any caulk in her cracks?

My brother donates plasma and gets paid 200 a month

Ya I have had countless people tell me to donate plasma but I dont know if Im sold on it or not. I mean you do get paid well and you could be saving someones life, but I'm not a huge fan of needles. Plus I dont think they have done any long term studies if there are side effects to donating every month for an extended period of time. Does he feel tired or crappy after he donates? I have heard both that people feel fine to calling in sick for 2 days. Plus with the number of places you can donate popping up here and there i dont want some tom dick and harry cleaning a machine that just pumped someone elses blood through it.......

Plasma

Zach- Yes he says he does feel tired after donating sometimes. I am with you I hate needles and wont do it:D

Be very careful of work from home offers. Many of them are too good to be trure. Never....Never pay for the right to sell items from a company....unless it is a dealership for a sales business like Arctic Cat or the such.
