Superglides in a 7 wide?

Can anyone confirm if you can get by with three rows of glides in a 7 wide inline trailer. If you've got pictures of your layout in a inline please do share.

Great question! I just bought a 7' wide myself and was wondering the same thing!

I don't think you can. I just put them on my ramp door and in order to accommodate 42"-36" stances I had to run 4 strips.

If it will work there won't be much margin for error.

They didn't work for me, I ended up putting two strips down the middle but later pulled them all out because sleds were sliding back and forth too much (I rarely tie any of them down). With the doubles in the middle it was also a major pain turning/dragging the sleds across them when unloading out the front door, even though they're low profile the skis tend to want to stay in the track and go straight

We ran 4 rows of the 8" wide in our 7' wide. But we were also covering the use of wider crossover sleds.

And to get around the issue that Buchholz56 was talking about we did this in the front:

No issues driving on this set-up in either direction. When hauling 3 we would load from the front and when hauling two we would load from the rear.

We also ran the deep slides on the front door so that when you were driving out of the front door the skis would always catch these as you hit them at an angle turning and we never had to get off and straiten sled out to make the ramp. I will run the same set-up in the next trailer with the only change being the traction slides on the rear ramp and inside the trailer.

Thanks this has been most helpful. The trailer is a 24 box and 5 V. We load from the rear and use the pull one in back one in method. I'll need to get in the trailer take some measurements and then see exactly what the sleds will require.

Superclamp, thanks for the offer. Let me get in the trailer this weekend and get some measurements taken. Ill be in touch after the holiday.

For anyone interested you can get by with three runs of glides in a 7 wide. It's snug but works for sleds 38" carbide to carbide or smaller. The final measurements and photos are included below. One change I plan to make will be a double row down the center of the ramp. It'll make the ramp cables easier to navigate around.
